Sun Erniang is a prominent character in the classic Chinese novel *Water Margin*, one of the Four Great Classical Novels of Chinese literature.
Nicknamed "The Female Yaksha," Sun Erniang first appears in chapter . She and her husband, Zhang Qing, run an inn at Cross Slope (Mengzhou), which is a dangerous place to travel.
Known for her ruthless nature and exceptional martial arts skills, Sun Erniang is not to be trifled with. She uses her inn as a front to drug and rob unsuspecting travelers, often killing them and using their flesh to make dumplings. Despite her violent tendencies, she possesses a sense of justice and joins the Liangshan outlaws, using her knowledge and skills to aid their cause.
